Abstract

This study focuses on the tourism industry in Sado city, and aims to identify the efforts necessary for activation. In spite of the fact that Sado city has made various efforts to attract visitors, numbers of tourists have decreased. With the aim of improving this situation, five factors for several items on the activation of tourist visitors to Sado city were evaluated. Factor analysis is performed based on the results revealed in the potential for activation characteristics in Sado city tourism. The analysis extracted six main factors, as follows : "Improving service quality in accommodation," "a small or solo travelers support for community-based," "taking advantage of new resources such as community Proposal of tourism PR", "cleaning and maintenance on the island", "implementation of environmentally friendly tourism," and "price down of transport".
