A preliminary experiment for real-time digital radiography system is described. The radiography system consists of a 100-μm-focus x-ray generator, a CMOS camera, a gadolinium oxysulfide screen, and a personal computer(PC). An object is exposed by the x-ray generator, the x-ray image on the screen is taken by the camera, and the digital AVI and JPG files are recorded by the PC. The x-ray intensity was 2.66μGy/s at 0.5m from the source with a tube voltage of 80kV and a tube current of 0.5mA. The repetition rate was approximately 1 fps(Hz), and the spatial resolution was about 300μm.
