Abstract

It reports on the outline of a special lecture concerning the methodology in the nursing research that invited Professor Hosihn Ryu from Korea University gave to us. There are 4 types of research problem: factor-isolating type, factor-relating type, situation-relating type, and situation- producing type. When we set research problem, it is the most important to clarify based on exquisite literature review which types of research problem we try to do. As the result, research methods and research design are inevitably decided. In the present states of nursing research in Japan, there are a lot of researches of factor-isolating type. In the future, we must tie them to intervention research in master's courses and doctor's courses.
