Abstract

The deaths from the female breast cancer show the marked international variation. Among advanced countries, the deaths in Japan are least frequent. In spite of this evidence, the breast cancer in Japan can not be ignored since it increases gradually. In the present symposium, a review of epidemiological studies was made in order to point out the risk factors, such as high socioeconomic status, fat consumption, obesity, nullipara and low fertility.
