- An Investigation of the National Cultural Education in Schools in Inner Mongolia : the Mongolian School in Wushen Banner of Erdos City

Abstract
Based on the new curriculum reform and the related policies of ethnic folk culture into the school, this paper examines the current situation of ethnic culture education of Mongolian schools in Wushen County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which has a strong nomadic culture. The survey focused on the school curriculum, extracurricular activities, and other national cultural activities. Interviews with teachers, students, and parents of the school revealed that local schools educated students in a variety of ways. In the context of the current grave loss of national culture, the educational activities related to these ethnic cultures held in schools play an instructive role model for the protection, maintenance, inheritance and revival of traditional Mongolian culture. However, it is necessary to acquire the required time for the school curriculum when the school runs through the national culture education. In addition, it is necessary to improve the national cultural quality of the teachers and cultivate the talents needed for the national education.
