- Until the Kinkakuji Burns: A Study on the Generative Textual Approaches to the Mizukami Tsutomu’s “Kinkaku Enjo”
説明
The manuscripts written by Mizukami Tsutomu’s “Kinkaku Enjo” was found from his old house. This work was made on the theme of the actual arson case of the Kinkakuji that occurred in 1950. There are six kinds of unfinished manuscripts and a finished manuscript. In this paper, I clarify the process from the occurrence to completion of “Kinkaku Enjo” using these unfinished manuscripts and consider the theme that Mizukami put into his work. The result is that as the manuscript progresses, the work will be completed from fiction to nonfiction. However, at the same time it was understood that important fiction was included among nonfiction. It was a technique for Mizukami to identify himself to the main character, Hayashi Youken. In other words, the manuscripts “Kinkaku Enjo” are the best sample for considering the fact and the fictional relationship in the literary work written based on the actual case.
