Description

Through the changing measurement values of height and weight noted during annual health checkups in schools, teachers can learn about studentsʼ unnecessary or inadequate diet, beginning of adolescent spurt, the risk of life-style related diseases, and so on. Based on the case studies of junior high schools, we advocate that the health system management in schools should support students in conducting self-evaluation of their health and proactive learning of health according to each studentʼs developmental stage.
