In Japan, there is no proceeding study attempt to figure out tourists’ consciousness which is essential for structural elements for Geoparks and Geotourism. Thus, in this study, we conducted questionnaire “survey research on tourism promotion” at 4 Geoparks in Kyushu (Shimabara, Amakusa-goshoura, Aso, and Kirishima) to obtain basic data of Geoparks images of tourists, then made the result public promptly. As a result it became clear that it was still difficult to say that the image of Geoparks was prevailing among tourists who visit the area. For public notoriety of Geoparks, it needs a devisal focusing on development of desired experience menu which showed high rate in each Geoparks, etc. In doing so, careful selection must be done by academic experts who evaluate Geo site from scholarly viewpoint, local residents, residents who live outside of the area (local entities who do not have regional bond), tourists, travel agents, and administration, meeting all together. Also, it is important to consider the meanings of principle adoption of Geoparks and Georism especially, where already flourished as tourist resort. We need to review continuously about where are the needs which are common or proper in the area.
