抄録

This study tries to clarify differences of scopes of prohibitions of certain non-tariff barriers between EU law and WTO law, namely by tentatively applying to WTO law the EU law concept of MEEs, measures having equivalent effect to quantitative restrictions. As a result, it was discovered that the EU law scope of prohibitions of MEEs is wider than that of WTO law and that, at the same time, the WTO law scope of prohibitions of MEEs has been gradually expanding to be closer to that of EU law.
