To construct the new coping scale for stressful situation, 173 participants（ 120 males and 53 females） were surveyed with 40 items of coping tendency by 4 alternatives. As the results of factor analysis, 3 factors were extracted: coping of problem solving, coping of expecting social support, coping with emotion or withstanding. Although in traditional scales coping of emotion and coping of withstanding have been extracted separately, in this research　two factors were extracted as one factor, coping with emotion or withstanding. Furthermore, coping of expecting social support was extracted independently. The coping of expecting social support tend to be used more frequently by female. These may be features characteristic of Japanese.
