Hokkaido Bunkyo University has run Smile Project which has aimed to provide the opportunities of social participation for children with home care and of learning for students. The purpose of this research was to investigate students’ learning from planning and management of sports events for children with home care. As a part of the project, students managed the sports events and invited the children. After the event, students answered questionnaires about learning from the experiences. Some students realized the importance of basic knowledge and corporation beyond departments again.
