Abstract

type:論文

This article on Defoe's Robinson Crusoe addresses the problem of what principle underlies its exciting narrative design as an adventure story. An attempt to contribute to the typological study of what is generally called narrative rather than to the study of a particular author or work, it focuses on the function of Crusoe's wanderlust or desire not just as a vital part of his character but as a major narrative force in his story.
