In this study, we considered how the processingspeed of go-processes changes depending on variousconditions. To conduct our analysis, we employed the horse-race model and proposed new conditions to discriminate between fast and slow go-processes. We showed that the speed of go-processes decreases in the Non-Repetition condition for go-go trials and in the Repetition condition for stop-go trials. The speeds of go-processes in consecutive trials are correlated in each case. This observation implies that the slowdown is due to interference. In the Repetition condition for stop-go trials, we confirmed that the magnitude of slowdown is larger after an unsuccessful inhibition than after a successful inhibition. We hope that our results will be useful in further investigation of the aftereffects in the stop-signal task.
