抄録

During Kasei Era and Tenpo Era, Matajiro Nagano, machinanushi (the head of a town), devoted himself not only to serving as myosyu (the nominal holder of a myoden, a rice field) but also to socializing with the literati. About sixty letters addressed to him from famous artists, haikai (popular linked verse) poets, Buddhist monks, and sado (tea ceremony) mastaers where full of interesting comments. The researchies were made present wraitaer. This paper aims to study on Hitomarudo.
