This paper investigates the concept of ritournelle (Deleuze and Guattari), with regard to the child, based on E.H. Erikson's example of play construction in Toys and Reasons. The ritournelle includes three aspects: confronting alone in the dark and jumping out of chaos, forming a territory as a home (territorialization), and leaving the territory (deterritorialization).
