Recently Japanese enterprises have been accelerating to make inroads into Asian markets especially Chinese markets. With the globarization of the enterprises, Japanese Government regards overseas students as ʻhigh-grade talented foreignersʼ in the so-called ʻ300 thousand overseas students projectsʼ and with the help of cooperation between industry and the academic and official world has started to help them find employments in Japanese enterprises. However, although the number of overseas students who want to find employments in the Japanese enterprises has been increasing year by year, an employment rate is only about 30 per cent. Moreover it is said that the stability of the work force is not so good, because many of the overseas students who have found jobs in Japan with considerable effort are said to be leaving their jobs within a couple of years. Many causes are pointed out for the overseas students not to be successful in finding jobs in Japanese enterprises. In this essay the main focus is placed on the recognition gap between the Japanese enterprises and the overseas students. And on the basis of the questionnaire surveys done on the Chinese overseas students who have found employments in Japanese enterpises, it is described how the career-building education and job hunting support for the Chinese overseas students should be.
