Description

This article first sees the relation between "educational curriculum" and "learning curriculum" in Japanese language pedagogy, and then examines the current state of Japanese language pedagogy and look Into the future direction of the curriculum development. More emphasis should be placed on each learner's "learning curriculum" in order to better organize "educational curriculum." Japanese language pedagogy should be systematized regarding actual situation of learners. Both vertical approach and horizontal approach are needed for the development of systematic curriculum.
