抄録

This essay complements several matters in notes by the late professor Hayashi Rikuo (1940 2012), “Social Services by Bali Protestant Christian Church and Helping Support of Japanese Students” (2011). After enumerating several documents considered helpful to get an overall understanding of the International Work Camp of Momoyama Gakuin University, this paper introduces an outline of the study done in Bali by Hayashi, who was greatly inspired by the work camp and related activities. The history of the Bali Protestant Christian Church is briefly explored through presentation of the book Dinamika GKPB dalam Perjalanan Sejarah (Dynamics of the Bali Protestant Christian Church in the Course of History, 2012), which was recently self-published by the Church. The part that describes Yayasan Widya Asih (Widya Asih Foundation), one of its sub-organizations, is mostly translated because it is the foundation that takes care of the work camp. Lastly, this paper provides supplementary comments to Hayashi’s notes on the foundation’s tree planting project in the village of Soka
