本学は2014 年度よりボーイング社のエクスターンシッププログラムに参加しており、ボーイング社による５回の英語によるオンライン講義を経て、プロジェクト活動を行い、毎年その活動結果を英語で報告している。学生の講義理解力とプレゼン能力の向上を図るため2023 年度に学部４年生を対象に専門の教員と英語教育課程の教員が協働で通年の「航空グローバル演習」授業を開講した。授業はグループでのプロジェクト活動と英語のスキル習得の二つから構成される。英語演習では、英語のオンライン講義の内容を理解できるよう、ノートテーキングのスキルを身につけ、学生主体で英語を用いて活動報告ができるように発表の練習を行う。教員はメンターの立場として学生の学習をサポートする。このような学生主体の授業運営とスキル習得を重視した授業について報告する。;This paper reports the curriculum and activities of the new course in which an Aeronautical engineering teacher and two English language teachers collaborated to assist students’ project and English study. KIT has been participating in the Boeing Externship Program since 2014. In spring 2023, 12 senior students from the Aeronautical engineering department joined five satellite lectures offered by the Boeing Company, and conducted a problem-based project. The students presented their project outcomes at Tohoku University in September. The ‘Global Aviation Practicum’ course was created to prepare them for this externship program and was offered during the spring semester of 2023. The English lessons focused on fostering various skills necessary for 21st-century engineers: note-taking and listening comprehension of online lectures, presentation skills, and question-and-answer discussion skills.
