Abstract

Social studies are often referred to as memorization subjects. In addition to simply acquiring knowledge, the lessons were designed to develop thinking, judgment, and expressive abilities, and to provide many opportunities for students to deepen mutual learning with others. After the class, we conducted a questionnaire survey regarding students’ awareness of social studies and their desire to interact with and learn from others. The results showed that in the higherranking group, the “YARUKURI” class was effective in improving some of the students’ awareness of social studies.
