In recent years, it is said that Japanese young generation’s political ideology understanding becomes different from older generation’s understanding. And they say that this phenomenon is specific in Japan. I think it is critical for empirical social survey research on Japanese politics, because political meaning of same ideological terminology may vary with generations. So, I think it needs reconstruction of concept of political ideology for empirical research on Japanese politics. In this article I refer Karen Stenner’s Authoritarian dynamic theory and I argue what her theory inspires for concept reconstruction of political ideology.
