Abstract

Abstract: This study is a quantitative survey of 153 patients who completed preventive support provided by social worker in a clinic setting. The purpose of the research is to collect cases of early detection of life challenges and to clarify commonalities and differences by support route. The next step is to analyze the assessment methods and deployments that lead from early detection to support. Regarding early detection of life challenges, clinic social workers differ from hospital social workers in that they use prescreening and outreach to assess patient encounters, service utilization, and social connections. In addition, for patients who were not using social resources or who were involuntary, we continually assessed their latent needs and worked to prevent the occurrence or deterioration of life challenges. On the other hand, efforts were also being made to create a system to encourage early detection and early consultation by staff at clinics and in the community. The above were the characteristics of social workers' preventive support at clinics.
