Description

A small collection of megalopa larvae was obtained from the drifting seaweeds during the cruise of R.V. Tansei-Maru of the Ocean Research Institute of the University of Tokyo in Suruga Bay in September of 1974(KT-74-14). This small collection contains fourteen species of brachyran megalopae and one species of porcellain crab-shaped anomuran glaucothoe. The brachyuran megalopae are represented by nine species of the family Portunidae, four species of the family Grapsidae and one species of the family Dromiidae.
