Description

Kansei which is a term peculiar to Japan, means the high order function of the brain as source of inspiration, aesthetics and creation. Recently, this term has been used frequently in various area including the development of consumer product. Kansei engineering will be one of the important key technology on the 21th century. Here, through the introduction of Kansei-oriented new product development (Three dimensional sound field system) which has been achieved through collaboration between designers and engineers in the company laboratory, I will indicate the potentiality of Kansei.
