Description

The objective of this study was to clarify the movement characteristics of successful and unsuccessful hip circle forward in 94 university students, and to suggest points to be improved for unlearned students to learn hip circle forward from biomechanical viewpoints. Failures were classified into two groups: Failure A, who rotated approximately 270° from the rotation and then fell, and Failure B, who rotated approximately 315° from the rotation and then fell. Compared to the success group, the Failure A group had lower rotational velocities in the first half and second half of the rotation, and the Failure B group had lower rotational velocities in the second half of the rotation. With regard to the success of the hip circle forward, the challenges for the Failure A group were gaining rotational speed in the first half of the rotation and maintaining rotationalspeed in the second half of the rotation for the Failure B group, and the key points for success were knee joint flexion in the first half of the rotation and hip joint flexion in the second half of the rotation.
