This article focuses on the missionary women and Japanese nursery teachers from Japan who studied in the Elizabeth Harrison’s school, the National Kindergarten Collage in Chicago to explore the transnational exchange on an international kindergarten movement between the U.S and Japan from the late 19th century to the 20th century. It examines how they constructed the transnational relationships by showing their writings were sent from Japan and the articles of the bulletins and newsletters in special archives. These materials show that the Christian kindergarten network in Japan and the alumni network in the NKC were intertwined and then succeeded to make the circulation regimes that Christian nursery teachers came and went between Japan and the U.S..
