Description

Waterside natural open-spaces are essential not only for providing natural amenities, but also for evacuation inthe case of earthquake disasters in urban area. In this paper, we explain waterside historical transition in urban area, Kyoto city, and discuss regional disaster prevention capacity based on community activity to implement disastermitigation functions which waterside natural open-spaces have.
