筆者は、「森林環境保全」の視点から、日本の人工林林業再生の重要性を指摘し、効率的な間伐施業推進のための「森林整備」の具体的方法を考察した。入会林野の分布がそれに関係しているとの仮説に基づき、宍粟市一宮町で事例分析したところ、入会林野の再生に成功している事業活動の指標である「作業道」の分布が、かつての入会林野を示す「縁故使用地」と「団「地化」によって説明されることがわかり、入会林野の再編が「森林整備」に有利に働いている可能性を確認した。……

From a forestry conservation perspective, I point out the importance of reviving Japan's artificial forestry industry, giving consideration to specific methods of forestry management that might promote efficient thinning practice. Hypothesizing that the distribution of iriai forests in Japan (i.e., forests worked as local commons) is relevant in this context, I conducted a case analysis of the Shiso city district of Ichinomiya-chō in Hyogo Prefecture. I found that the distribution of logging roads, which serve as indicators of commercial activities that have been successful in reviving iriai forests, was described in terms of "aggregation" and "family-use land" in reference to what were once iriai forests. ......
