Abstract

与論島のまちづくりでは、来住者の活躍が目立つ。本研究ではまちづくりの一環であるギリシャ村構想を取り上げ、この実現をめぐる諸問題を検討した。その結果、地域のことは自分達でやるという自律性や、ギリシャの何を(どういう要素を)取り入れるのかについては創造性が必要なこと、などが論じられていることがわかった。また、来住者の活躍の背景には、与論の人が来住者をもてなす気持ちを持っており、彼らの能力を生かし、活用しようとする姿勢があることなどもわかった。

New comers are active in the town development activity in Yoron Island. There is an idea of "Greek Village" in this town development plan which is discussed in this study. Yoron people stressed autonomy and creativity in their discussion. The former means they manage all things about their area by themselves and the latter means what kind of elements they should select in Greek culture or society. Yoron people have welcome spirit. This is the reason why new comers are active in the town development.
