Description
Human T -cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-I) is a human retrovirus and an etiologic agent of adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma (ATL/ATLL). The subtypes acute and lymphoma have a poor prognosis with a median survival rate of approximately 6 months. Some excellent therapeutic strategies for ATL are required. In present study, we show effects of a new therapeutic agent, retinoid, for proliferation, CD25 expression, NFκ-B transcription activity, influence of thiol compound. Furthermore, we clarified a mechanism of retinoid for ATL cells. Finally, we showed an evaluation of retinoid therapy in clinical including for skin involvement.
