Description

[Abstract] It has been considered that a Japanese worker has a stronger sense of belonging to the organization which he belongs to than those outside of Japan. However, it has been revealed that the sense of belonging of a Japanese worker was never so strong but more complex and fragile even in the late 1970s when the Japanese-style management attracted much international attention. On the premise that this misunderstanding was caused by the psychological structure specific to the Japanese workers, learning from ever debated studies on Japanese people and culture, the author will clarify the issue in this paper.
