説明

The causative suffix <-sikida> in Korean and the causative suffix <-saseru> in Japanese both use Chinese verbal nouns (VN), as <VN-sikida> and <VN-saseru>. <VN-sikida> corresponds to <VN-saseru> in two types, but it doesn't correspond to <VN-saseru> in four types. These differences resulted from the causatibility of <-sikida> and <-saseru>. Suffix <-sikida> can unite intensional verbs, for example : research, plan, decide, etc. But <-sikida> cannot unite them. They cannot have the entailment of result in context. Causative verbs <VN-sikida> and <VN-saseru> are the same category in grammar, but the syntactic and semantic differences of suffixs <-sikida> and <-saseru> are different in causative formation in Korean and Japanese.
