This paper presents multiattribute utility analysis using a new computer program called MAP which is based on an object-oriented programming. Recent progress in computer sciences induces the decision support systems (DSS) to more intelligent fields. This paper discusses the effectiveness of the multiattribute utility analysis with the computer assistance in the intelligent decision support systems (IDSS) environments. An application of this device is presented using empirical data for a large-scaled regional development program in a southern district (the Chunnam area) in Korea.
