大学学部1年生必修科目でのレポート作成におけるライティングのプロセスについて、履修者へのコース終了後のアンケート調査の結果から考察した。学習者の多くが相互の関わりを楽しみつつ、情報収集からレポート自体の作成・発表へのプロセスの中で困難を体験し、専門での書くことにつながる新たな文章ジャンルの表現の形式を獲得する必要性を認識したことが確認された。また、各プロセスの課題に取り組む中で、学習者の各プロセスに対する捉え方の大きな流れがあること、学習者に取り組み方のタイプがあることがうかがえた。これらの結果から、大学初年次のレポート作成指導における示唆を得た。
This study examined the process of writing an essay in a first year academic writing course in a Japanese university. Surveys using questionnaires after the course showed that students enjoyed collaborative activities in this writing course, found difficulties in the process of writing essays and making oral presentations, and motivated themselves to learn more about academic writing. Surveys also showed that how students recognized each steps of the writing process and how differently several types of students carried out the tasks. This paper also discusses pedagogical implications of designing a course to support students' writing in an introductive academic setting.
