The aim of this paper is to report the details of customization of PloneSurvey that is one of\ the add-on products of the open source content management system Plone. From 2010, we\ started to use Plone and conducted many web surveys both for students and faculty members\ of faculty in Ochanomizu University. Though we succeeded in big cost savings with Plone, we\ faced several problems. The biggest issue was to shorten the length of the web questionnaire.\ Referring to the functions of other web survey tools provided by 3rd party for free or very low\ cost, such as Google Forms and SurveyMonkey, we mainly developed the branching function\ that included the complicated logic in the questionnaire. At the last part, we suggested how\ we intend to develop the secure and easy tool to answer the web questionnaire for educational\ institutions.
