近年、東アジアを中心としたメディカルツーリズムが急成長を遂げている。本研究では、アジアで既にメディカルツーリズムを導入し、成功している主要5カ国(マレーシア、シンガポール、インド、タイ、韓国)の142病院を対象に実態調査を行い、得られた回答より重回帰分析を実施し、アジア諸国における拡大課題・必要度の関係から、メディカルツーリズムの促進要因を探り、今後の日本の導入に役立たせることを目的として分析を行った。

In recent years, medical tourism has seen rapid growth in and around East Asia. The present researcher, with the purpose mentioned below, made an investigation into the actual conditions of 142 hospitals in the five major Asian countries which have successfully introduced medical tourism (Malaysia, Singapore, India, Thailand, and South Korea). The purpose of this study is two-pronged. First, research was made on promotion factors of medical tourism, focusing medical tourism in Asian countries regarding its expansion problems and necessity. The investigation was conducted by use of multiple regression analysis of the answers obtained from the questionnaire given to the above hospitals. Second, promotion factors were analyzed so they will be made good use of in introducing medical tourism into Japan.
