説明
This paper is prepared as an introduction of the publication focusing on `the concept of organization ethics' in preparation. Presently, there is much interest in applied ethics, particularly business ethics, environmental ethics, bioethics, and science-technological ethics. Environmental ethics, bioethics, and science-technological ethics started being brought up as topics for discussion about20years ago and are relatively. However, 40years have already passed since the debate started over business ethics. The importance of business ethics has further increased due to these new ethical problems. They are greatly influenced by the details of business ethics and without comprehending these new ethics, business ethics becomes void. Although they may not become meaningless, unless environmental ethics, bioethics, and science-technological ethics are viewed in the light of their relationship to business ethics, their meaning will significantly dissipate. The problem that may surface here is whether `a bond between business ethics, environmental ethics, bioethics, and science-technological ethics is possible'. The challenge is an obvious necessity in identifying the adverse effects of modernization and organizational society and pursuing ways to conquer them. The first part of this paper analyses the features or phases of a hyper- modern society. The following section describes `reflexive modernization' which shows the necessity for a critical interpretation and a remediation about the side effects of modernization and organizational society. Based on the above consideration, the conclusion of this paper demonstrates the need to select the ethics of organization and organized practice of science-technology with care.
