抄録

In this study, we examined effect of social desirability toward self-evaluation and importance of a specific of selfesteem for young adults. We conducted this survey to 189 students. The results showed the self-evaluation score and the importance score did not related to consciously desirable responding. Though the self-evaluation score was affected by unconsciously desirable responding, the importance score was not affected. These findings suggested that the importance of a specific facet of self esteem could be hardly affected by social desirability.
