Abstract

This study analyzed characteristics about the theses of co-production with citizens and local public employees published until 2005 in Japan. As the results,“ environment”， “tree planting” and“ town development” were much reported in the content of co-production. About the agent of co-production, “committee by members not publicly sought” was much reported. “The existence of fields in co-production” and “changes in the consciousness of local public employees” were much reported in the successful reason of co-production. Furthermore, the relation of each characteristics was analyzed by multiple classification analysis. Co-production in school or education was not smooth functioning of community. Co-production in environment or plan-making reported by researchers was implied success. It reported continued success that local public employees write co-production with committee by members not publicly sought. On the basis of these results, it was discussed that future research tasks in co-production and promotional factor of co-production.
