We have explored the social support measures for developing career design in youth in this study. Since the late 1990s, more than 30% of university graduates in Japan had resigned from their first jobs within three years. The first point is that their career anchors are not determined. In particular, it can be said that the trend is strong in social sciences students. We have identified that the company’s employment management method in Japan, especially for young people, has been substantially changed since the late 1990s. University, employment and marriage are the three major events in the first half of life. Many young people stumble in the challenges of their lives because they are not able to successfully“ Think globally”. In this aspect, the role of a mentor has become very important. The number of universities has grown in Japan and in addition, the procedures of admission have been simplified. In this aspect, we see the upsurge in the level of bipolarization where many of these schools are now in need of promoting career education. On the other hand, Massive Open Online Courses have been already introduced by the top-ranked universities in the United States. The top universities in Japan are anticipated to follow them sooner or later.
