Description

The purpose of this study was to investigate the trunk fitness of female university students. The trunk fitness was evaluated by modified Kraus-Weber Test. 207 female students (Department of Food Sciences: 109 students, that of Nursing: 98 students) who were enrolled at Ibaraki Christian University participated in this study as the subjects. The trunk fitness of female university students was summarized as follows: (1) About 35% of all subjects received the lowest score in modified Kraus-Weber test. (2) About 80% of all subjects passed the two tests to check the muscle strength of the abdominal. (3) The muscle endurance of the back was significantly superior to that of the abdominal.
