抄録

In recent years, global human resource development has become an intensely debated issue in the context of university education. This paper regards global human resources as “individuals who can convey ideas to others,” and focusing on rakugo, a form of Japanese entertainment, advocates nurturing education for individuals from Japanese language education perspective. Up until now, discussion of rakugo as an educational tool has emphasized its linguistic or cultural aspects as a traditional form of entertainment. However, from a different perspective, considering rakugo as a “narrative art,” this paper clarifies its potential to serve as an educational tool fostering university studentsʼ ability to convey ideas to others.
