We examined the plasma protein fraction and the plasma glycoprotein fraction in patients with diabetes mellitus, and analyzed the difference of the results from those of normal people and the relation between the results and the complications of diabetes mellitus. In plasma protein fraction, α_2, β_1 and β_2 grobulin fractions of the patients were higfer than those of normal people. In plasma glycoproteinfraction, α_1, β_1 and β_2 grobulin fractions of the patients were higfer than those of normal people. And then, the examined plasma glycoprotein fractions were classified into five groups by the differences of the figure of fraction, and the results of such classification suggested that the each group had significant relation to the complications of diabetes mellitus.
