A well-balanced diet, exercise and rest in our daily mode of Living are some of the necessary conditions to maintaining our wellbeing. Since the individual determines the way of Living, each individual’s awareness plays a very important role. The awareness of society and of the nation, however, also indirectly affect the individual, which in turn influences the individual’s wellbeing. Japan, China and Korea have a common view in their traditional sense of values, but in the current situation, they respectively have their original Lifestyles based on their social systems and cultural differences. This study is to compare the various problems observed in the Lifestyles of women college students of these three countries. It aims to analyze their consciousness for their wellbeing, the similarity and the differences in their Lifestyles, and also, to pointout the cultural characteristics in their countries. Tests to examine physical disposition and the body strength, and a questionnaire about health and bodily powers were applied to 951 women college studens (1st grades). The subjects of this study were 444 students from 3 Japanese colleges, 276 students from 2 Chinese colleges and 231 students from 2 Korean colleges. To summarize the physical disposition of each country, the Japanese womem were of medium build, the Chinese of a taller and thinner build, and the Koreans a larger build. The rate of a dipose tissue was the lowest among the Chinese students, who were also in an excellent physical condition. Concerning bodily strength, the Japanese and Chinese students were an almost the same level. However, the Korean students made the poorest grade in every test, and it was clear that they had problems with their health. This study shows that Chinese students have the most excellent physical condition and body strength, and that Korean students have the poorest. This shows that daily exercise and the attention to general wellbeing that the people have does maks a difference. In this instance, the percentage of people who exercise regularly is very large in China, but in Korea it is very small. AIso the fact is that many people in China care about health whereas Koreans comparatively do not. As far as the questionnaire was concerned, the comments made by Japanese students were almost all located between the comments made by Korean and Chinese students, which means no particular problems were apparent. The actual physical fitness Japanese students and was quite excellent, although they had the tendency to estimate them-selves lower than what they actually were, so the comments and judgements they made for the questionnaire did not necessarily seem based on their solid sense. The results of this comparative study objectively (and also subjectively) makes it clear that, of the three countries’ students studied, the Korean students had the greatest problems with their health.
