Abstract
Han Ron is the first work written by the Japanese on democratic decision making in politics. In this paper I am going to demonstrate significance of "Han Ron" in contemporary context by elucidating the influence that "Han Ron" exerted, and the role it played, in the resistive thought against the existing authority in the Meiji period of Japan (thought of Jiyu Minken).
