Abstract

Morita (1997) critically examines the previous achievements of the theory of feminism, i.e., the paradigm of "capitalism and patriarchy," and claims that capitalism takes advantage of sexism in essence. He clarifies the sexism in Japananese management and society has a special structure from a historical point of view. In this paper, I review his discussion and point out some issues concerning capitalism and sexism.
