Description

type:論文

This study categorizes the approaches for the preparatory and main steps in volleyball blocking while comparing them with the step skill by motion time of approach between professional and college-level players. Testing was conducted during sequential phase of opponent attack in the second tempo. Six females from a professional volleyball team (expert group) and six females from a college volleyball team (non-expert) performed a variety of blocking tasks initiated from three directions, during which their steps were videotaped at 60 Hz. These steps were categorized according to step-types, and their timings were analyzed. Sidethrust, jab-step, kick-back, split-step, non-step and double-step were used in the preparatory step, while cross-step, side cross-step and running-step were used in the approach step. The study found no relationship between the used skill-level and step-types. However, the expert group showed significantly later and shorter starting times for preparatory step than the non-expert group. This finding showed that the expert players waited to start the preparatory step until just before toss contact, and quickly executed that step after precisely reading the direction of toss.
