抄録

Student nurses read a homepage and blogs on ALS and experienced bedridden problems that ALS patients experience. Before and after this the change of the image of the disease, motivation and interest were analysed using the Semantic Differential method. As a result, the following three points became clear. The student nurses had a negative image of ALS generally before doing the exercise, Adjectives used to describe it were disabled, frustrated, dependent and pessimistic. After this exercise, the Students were measured on the following scale with respect to ALS patients: satisfied - frustrated, satisfied –empty, social - introverted, and optimistic - pessimistic. In all cases, there was a significant movement in a positive direction and greater interest in the subject, leading to higher levels of motivation to study the subject. It shouldalso be noted that all the subjects who expressed increases on the scale “fascinating – no interest ". Finally the writer would like to conclude that for understanding ALS from both a social a psychological point of view, blogs and homepages can be easily available and effective teaching materials.
