In a conpost supply upward tendency in recent years, compost circulation promotion becomes an important subject. Since a compost is bulky, which often circulate in local area. Therefore a compost circulation problem is greatly dependent on the agricultural structure of an area. A number of problems and measures about a compost circulation were shown by precedence researches. Our subject is to rank those problems with importance for an area and to present critical measures by the area. / The research area of this paper is Minamata and Ashikita area in Kumamoto prefecture, which is a typical citrus producing district region. The main 3 factors prevent citrus farmer from using the compost produced in this area are 1) citrus proce reduction in recent years, 2) hard work of compost spraying in a steep slope, and 3) the risk of a compost use resulting from the shortage of the quality information, the unstable quality, and shortage of the compost use skill of farmers. / Mathematical programming analysis for typical farmer's decision - making about compost use is applied in order to ranking 3 previous factors. The result, the problem which should be solved first is the risk of compost use, the 3rd problem. Thus, first measure is canceling the asymmetry of the compost information between producers and users. Constructing the work way inside the orchard or transportation and spraying service of compost are, then, positioned in the secondary measures.
