The notion is widely shared that young children understand and construct their knowledge about the world through their own interactions based on their interests and motivations. Waldkindergarten can be a prominent candidate to provide young children with such interactions. Though the aim of Waldkindergarten does not limit itself to understanding the natural environment, children in Waldkindergarten can have wide variety of experiences concerning nature.Nine cases of childcare and education related to activities at Seta Waldkindergarten are reported and discussed in the context of young children learning about nature.
